Additional Information: The night from June 17 to June 18 will be the only one in the year when the doors of Saint Petersburg’s galleries will be open to visitors. Within the project framework, ten galleries from the Association of Galleries of Contemporary Art will be represented together at the Rizzordi Art Foundation Loft (Kurlandskaya St., 49) in the style of an art fair, which Saint Petersburg has long lacked, and will also prepare special projects at their own venues.
Participating in the “Night of Contemporary Art” are: Rizzordi Art Foundation, AL Gallery, Anna Nova Art Gallery, ART re.FLEX Gallery, Dmitriy Semenov Gallery, Frants Gallery Space, Marina Gisich Gallery, Lazarev Gallery, Modernariat Gallery, Kremlin Gallery, State Center for Contemporary Art (St. Petersburg branch).
Special project for “TOTAL CONTEMPORARY” will be presented by the SCCA-SPb. The program includes the slide project “Time and Place” (Soviet and post-Soviet domestic design in photographs by contemporary Russian artists), programs of Russian video art from the online video archive SILENT MediaLab, and the Poetic Actionism laboratory.
PROGRAM:
“TOTAL CONTEMPORARY” at the Rizzordi Art Foundation Loft
Rizzordi Art Foundation will present Gleb Kosorukov’s project “BEL AIR,” shot in Paris’s Buttes Chaumont park. Also, Lena Golovina’s “Butterflies” project will be shown for the first time.
At the Loft, 10 galleries will present works from their permanent collections:
AL Gallery – works by Vitaly Pushnitsky, Sergey Denisov, Ilya Orlov, Dmitry Provotorov, Tatiana Podmarkova, Andrey Rudyev.
Anna Nova Art Gallery – works by Stas Bags and Maria Dmitrieva.
ART re.FLEX Gallery – works by Yuri Shtapakov, Pavel Brat, Anders Shenborg (Sweden). The gallery will also present videos by Anton Khlavov, Veronica Rudyeva-Ryazantseva, and Tatiana Akhmetgalieva.
Dmitriy Semenov Gallery – video installations by Philipp Dontsov.
Frants Gallery Space – video installation by Alexandra Dementieva (Belgium) and Marina Koldobskaya’s painting “Without Words.”
Kremlin Gallery – paintings and objects by Marina Koldobskaya, Marina Fedorova, Igor Rudakov, Andrey Khlobystin.
Lazarev Gallery – works by Vladimir Titov and Oleg Yakovlev.
Marina Gisich Gallery – video, sculpture, and graphics by Kirill Chelushkin, sculptural compositions by Petr Bely, sculpture by Nadezhda Zubareva.
Modernariat Gallery – works by Igor Pestov, Denis Ichitovkin, and Alexander Dashevsky.
