“Symbiosis: Art in the Age of AI” delves into the evolving relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence. Featuring a diverse selection of contemporary artists, the exhibition highlights AI as an active collaborator in the artistic process rather than merely a tool.

This exhibition serves as a platform for dialogue and discovery, inviting audiences to explore the symbiotic exchange between human intuition and machine intelligence. Rather than focusing solely on generative AI—the most widely discussed form of AI today—we present a broader conceptual and aesthetic landscape, showcasing the many ways AI can intersect with artistic expression.

The works on display embody unique manifestations of this human-machine synergy. Each piece reflects a fusion of AI’s computational power and algorithmic logic with the artist’s emotions, vision, and conceptual depth. By integrating AI technologies such as natural language processing, machine learning, and generative adversarial networks (GANs), artists push the boundaries of their craft, unlocking new creative possibilities and redefining artistic innovation.

Traditionally, artificial intelligence has been designed to emulate human cognitive functions, including perception, language comprehension, and problem-solving. However, AI has now ventured into the realm of aesthetics, influencing how we create and experience art. With millions of people using AI to generate music, fiction, and digital imagery, this technological shift raises profound questions about authorship, originality, and artistic intent.

Historically, discussions of art have revolved around concepts like skill, imitation, and taste rather than intelligence. The emergence of AI in the creative process compels us to reconsider these definitions. Could AI’s role in art give rise to a new notion of artistic intelligence? The artworks in this exhibition explore this question, offering varied perspectives on the evolving nature of creativity in the age of artificial intelligence.
