CAPITAL OF NOWHERE is a collective art project exploring the experience of living in a landscape shaped and transformed by media civilization. As a traveling exhibition, it primarily showcases the works of Russian artists, particularly from St. Petersburg. However, its concept remains fluid, adapting to the time and place of each iteration, allowing for the inclusion of international and especially local artists.

In today's cities, reality is in constant flux—an ever-changing screen where advertising merges with politics, futuristic visions intertwine with history, and documents blur into fiction. The sense of time and place dissolves. The transformation of familiar urban spaces is experienced as a physical, psychological, and moral rupture—one that each artist responds to with an act of creation, compensation, or substitution.
