◆The Ground Gallery Opening◆
A new venue dedicated to contemporary art is opening in Moscow —
Project GROUND. The space will launch with an exhibition featuring a new installation within the Q-O system (this time created by Sergey Kasich and Oleg Makarov), objects from the collection of Andrey Smirnov, as well as original works by Dmitry ::vtol:: Morozov, Sergey Filatov, and Stas Matskevich.
At the opening, there will be a concert featuring SA)) residents, including performances by Alexander Senko, Sergey Filatov, Sergey Kasich, and Oleg Makarov. Special guests — the SonoLevitation project by the renowned science-art artists Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand (Netherlands), demonstrating the levitation of objects using sound waves.
CYLAND MediaArtLab participates in the opening of the project GROUND as well. Contribution from CYLAND MediaArtLab includes a Symphony for the Slide Projectors, revealing our work over the years, and a transparent vinyl player for the CYLAND Audio Archive (CAA). CAA is a project initiated inside MediaArtLab. For many years our team has been working on the possibilities of exhibiting sound art, experimenting and making conclusions. Now we proudly present the most natural way to collect, archive and exhibit the art of sound curated by Sergey Komarov and Vlad Dobrovolski.
The general event will begin at 7:00 PM at Novopeschanya Street, Building 23/7 (metro station “Sokol”) — at GROUND Peschanya. There you can enjoy a concert by Pyotr Aidu and a performance by Valentin Tzin.
The SA)) part of the event will start at 10:00 PM at Iriny Levchenko Street, Building 2 (metro station “Oktyabrskoye Pole”) — at GROUND Khodynka. A free shuttle bus will run between Peschanya and Khodynka.
