Inspired by the mysteries of the cosmos and the enduring question of extraterrestrial life, the artists blend scientific research, speculative fiction, and creative intuition to evoke a sense of wonder and curiosity. Their work encourages reflection on the unknown lifeforms that might exist on distant worlds, inviting us to imagine the unimaginable.

Using a range of media—including sculpture, painting, digital art, and installation—they bring these imagined alien creatures to life. Each piece reflects a unique artistic vision, offering glimpses into possible ecosystems beyond Earth and challenging viewers to consider the rich diversity of life that could thrive in the cosmos.

At the heart of their creative process is an exploration of form, color, and texture. The resulting organisms often defy traditional biological understanding, blurring the line between the familiar and the alien. These works act as visual metaphors, engaging with themes such as evolution, resilience, and adaptation—urging audiences to contemplate the fragility and interconnectedness of life, both terrestrial and extraterrestrial.

The exhibition also invites active participation. Through the ARTVIVE app, animated representations of these fictional aliens come to life, while interactive installations and immersive environments encourage visitors to craft their own narratives and interpretations. This collaborative experience fosters imagination, curiosity, and speculative thinking.

A highlight of the exhibition is Anna Frants’ “Stories of Light” from the Simple Pleasures series (2024). These automated kineographs explore the age-old relationship between light and time. In this series, Frants reimagines humanity’s ancient desire to capture movement through light, drawing connections from prehistoric cave art and shadow play to modern film and digital animation. Her moving images serve as a poetic homage to our ongoing quest to preserve fleeting moments and stories through the language of light.
