In the Hermitage Theatre, the “Student Day” celebration took place — a traditional mid-autumn event. At this gathering, instructors from each of the 19 different fields of study spoke about the work of their sections. As part of the Hermitage Student Club program, schoolchildren, graduate students, and university students of all forms of study will have the opportunity to meet artists, participate in workshops and exhibitions, and visit buildings usually closed to the public. Participants will also be able to learn more about the architecture of the city’s historic center, visit a restoration workshop, and take part in educational trips.

The event was opened by Georgy Vadimovich Vilinbakhov, Deputy Director General of the museum. Curator Nadya Taiga introduced the exhibition Glasstress 2015 Gotika, featuring works in glass. The event concluded with the media project Piano Visualization — a collaborative work by video artist Alexandra Dementieva (Belgium) and improvisational pianist Sergey Yevtushenko.
