The Second Contemporary Art Festival Living Perm
📞 +7 (342) 240-36-08
The contemporary art festival Living Perm, taking place in the city of Perm, is founded by the Ministry of Culture, Youth Policy, and Mass Communications of Perm Krai and the Committee for Culture of the Perm City Administration. The festival is organized by the KGAU “Center for Project Implementation in the Field of Culture and Youth Policy.”
Living Perm is a production project that introduces new names and presents familiar artists in a new light. The main idea of the festival is to create opportunities for the realization of the creative potential of the residents of the Perm region, as well as to enhance artistic activity through the creation of vibrant cultural events. The uniqueness of Living Perm lies in its “street format,” which allows for the broadest possible public participation in the creative process.
Living Perm is a multigenre project, bringing together music, theater, cinema, visual arts, poetry, and prose. The festival is characterized by the continuous nature of the creative process—it is not just about showcasing pre-prepared programs and performances but also about the birth of new works of art, cultural initiatives, and creative collaborations.
New Festival Focus for 2010: The Perm–Saint Petersburg Creative Bridge
A cultural delegation from Saint Petersburg will help raise the professional level of the festival and open new paths for cultural exchange between the two cities. As part of the festival, a series of masterclasses will be held, where artists, musicians, and all creative individuals will have the opportunity to participate.
