CYLAND MediaArtLab presents Gadgetophonia, an experimental orchestra of live electronics, created by Dmitry Shubin and Antonina Pozdnyakova. The concert continued Shubin’s earlier talk on music, semiotics and performance in CYLAND educational series.
In Gadgetophonia orchestra all musicians experiment with the sound possibilities of smartphones, simple electronic synthesizers, and samples to create a sound field on the edge of abstract and concrete. The video below demonstrates this principles:
