◆Approaching the Meaning◆
“Approaching the Meaning, or The Painter’s Dictionary” is an exhibition of works by St. Petersburg painter Valery Ivanovich Rabchinsky (1945–2007).
The idea behind the exhibition is to make the paintings “speak” through associative metaphors that, in brief and sometimes paradoxical form, reflect the artist’s thoughts and ideas.
The core of the exhibition consisted of Rabchinsky’s works, which serves as the basis for the creation of “The Painter’s Dictionary.” Also a media installation by artist Anna Franz titled Anxiety is presented.
