🔹The Sergey Kuryokhin Contemporary Art Award Exhibition🔹

The Sergey Kuryokhin Award is one of Russia’s most significant cultural events, shaping trends in the world of contemporary art. The prize is awarded to artists, curators, and musicians who, in their work, develop the revolutionary ideas formulated by Sergey Kuryokhin in the 1990s. The principles of “Pop Mechanics”—the search for new forms of artistic interaction, provocation, a focus on performance, improvisation, and the unpredictability of creative outcomes—form the foundation of the prize.

Each year, the prize introduces new names in contemporary and cutting-edge art from various countries to audiences in St. Petersburg and across Russia. Before the awards ceremony, an exhibition of the prize nominees who made it to the long list was opened. The exhibition was curated by Viktoria Ilyushkina.
