Anna Frants is a multimedia artist based in New York. Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, she graduated from the Mukhina Academy of Art in 1989, receiving a solid classical education. She later expanded her artistic interests to include digital imagery and animation.
Her achievements reflect a broad spectrum of artistic exploration. Anna has received several top awards for 3D computer animation at prestigious computer graphics competitions, such as the AutoDesk Planet Studio Award. She has participated in and curated numerous art exhibitions in the U.S. and Russia, taught media arts and animation for several years, and published articles on art. Her works can be found in the Museum of Art and Design in New York and in private collections.

Every artist processes their life, emotions, and worldview through their work, reflecting upon themselves.
The Storm in a Glass, born from the artist’s inspiration, is a storm of creativity—one that never ceases until the artist’s final breath.

In memory of departed pets.
A mass of colorful socks glows one by one in the darkness. One sock lights up brightly, then another—never finding its pair… Perhaps it has been chewed up under the couch…
Visitors are invited to bring photographs of their lost pets for a memorial wall.

Shadows cast by glass vessels shimmer in backlighting. Only the play of light remains, reminding us of them—just as the memory of many generations preserves words, habits, and stories connected to our ancestors, long gone from our lives but never from our memory.
